Our programs provide English language support, vocational training, career readiness initiatives, and connection with job opportunities supporting economic inclusion and long-term success.
Our Training & Employment Support
We offer a range of specialized training and employment services, including:
- Pre-vocational & Work-Readiness Training – Hands-on training and industry insights to support career entry.
- Accredited & Non-Accredited Training – Job readiness, English Language Programs (AMEP), Child-Safe Environment Training, DFV Prevention, and Governance Training.
- Employment Hub – One-on-one casework, resume support, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
- Industry-Specific Pathways – Including engineering, ICT, construction (White Card Training), healthcare, disability and aged care, retail, and hospitality.
- Cultural Competence & Workplace Training – Supporting organisations with cultural awareness and workplace diversity.
- Settlement orientation training for new arrivals
- Domestic and Family Violence Prevention training workshops
- Governance Training for community groups
Employer Engagement & Workforce Integration
We actively collaborate with industries, businesses, and employers to connect skilled people from migrant and refugee backgrounds with job opportunities, addressing labor shortages and strengthening South Australia’s workforce. Our initiatives include:
- Employment opportunities – bring opportunities to our clients
- Employment Forums & Networking Events – Connecting job seekers with potential employers.
- Industry-Specific Workshops – Preparing new arrivals for Australian workplace expectations.
- Mentorship & Inclusive Hiring Support – Helping businesses develop culturally responsive practices.
Success Stories & Impact
- Employment Hub: In 2024, we worked with 50+ employers and conducted 219 individual casework sessions, helping participants secure meaningful jobs across various industries.
- 675 assisted with job applications.
- 360 individuals successfully supported into employment.
- 116 applications submitted for traineeships.
- Training & Education
- 107 students enrolled in AMEP English classes at AMRC outlets.
- 116 individuals registered for training or certification courses.
- 101 community support workers trained to assist vulnerable groups.
- 102 volunteers trained to support AMRC’s services.
- Domestic & Child Safety Training:
- 456 individuals completed Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) training.
- 185 participants received Child Safe Environments Training.
- Construction Pathways:
- 50 participants from diverse backgrounds completed White Card Training, supported by the Rotary Club of Adelaide, helping them take their first steps into the construction industry
- Young Parents Employment Workshops:
- 51 young parents (ages 22–38) from Myanmar, Bhutan, Eritrea, South Sudan, and Afghanistan received job readiness support through our partnership with ParentsNext & the Salvation Army.
