AusAlert:
New National Warning System
AusAlert is a new national warning system that uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices during local and national disasters. AusAlert messages keep communities informed so they can take action, saving lives and property. It’s another way we’re helping to keep Australia safe.

Census information for multicultural communities
A message from Multicultural Affairs
Every five years, the Australian Bureau of Statistics counts every person and household in Australia. This is called the Census of Population and Housing.
Everyone in Australia on Tuesday 11 August 2026 must be counted in the Census.

Need support with your water bill or accessing concessions?
Water bills can be confusing, and some people feel worried or stressed about water costs.
Water Wise Communities is a project that helps people understand water bills, water use, and the support that may be available.
The project supports people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across South Australia and is delivered by the Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC) in partnership with the Department for Environment and Water.
