National Disability Insurance Scheme

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of funding services and supports for people with disability. Under the scheme, eligible participants with disability receive their own individual funding and NDIS plan to support them to achieve their specific goals and live their life the way they want.

Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC) is a registered NDIS provider. The AMRC partners with people with disabilities and their carers/families to raise awareness about disability services and accessible resources, in their communities.

  • Interpreting/Translation
  • Behaviour/specialist intervention
  • Case Management, local coordination and development
  • Learning and life skills development
  • Other community access
  • Advocacy
  • Information
  • Combined information/advocacy
  • Mutual support/self-help groups
  • Alternative formats of communication

Services are provided to both children and adults with disabilities (excluding people with a brain injury and neurological injury). The AMRC have an excellent reputation in providing household support that is responsive to the gender, religious, language and cultural needs of the individual clients, with our workers speaking over 50 languages.

We partner with you in addressing your care needs, and enabling you to access and participate in community activities.
