What a wonderful day of connection, culture, stories and inspiration!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came together to make our 2026 AMRC Youth Forum such a meaningful celebration of young people, diversity and belonging. To the young people who brought their energy, ideas and stories, and to our stallholders, partners and supporters, your participation and contribution made the day truly special.
We were honoured to begin with a Welcome to Country and Youth Story from Aunty Elaine Magias, followed by a warm welcome from Ms Mirsia Bunjaku, AMRC CEO.
Thank you to The Hon Mira El Dannawi MLC, for officially launching the Forum, to Ms Aria Bolkus MP, for sharing her keynote address, encouragement and reflections with our young participants and the Hon Michelle Lensink MLC for sharing her message with the youth.
We were inspired by the voices and experiences of Go Suan Pau, Poeva Stuart, Abby Rosales and Max Gandiuk, who shared their personal youth stories and perspectives.
A special thank you to Savvas Toumazos for bringing the sounds of the Greek bouzouki to the Forum, and to Fokaboy for an energetic R&B/Hip Hop performance celebrating the culture and music of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Thank you also to the MYLSA Executive Committee for their contribution in building the Forum and for engaging young people through the survey and the interactive Kahoot activity.
We are also grateful to Fox in a Box Adelaide for generously donating an Escape Room Gift Card, donations from Youth Opportunities and Willow Bend Coffee Roasters. A very special thank you to the U City team for their ongoing support throughout the preparation.
