A Refugee Employment Forum held by the Mount Gambier MRC resulted in several casual and 3 full-time jobs for migrants. Held to raise awareness of the employability of refugees, the forum attracted 170 people that included representatives from businesses that are interested in employing refugees. Among the speakers were businesses that respectively employ 17 and 41 refugees in Mount Gambier. They shared their positive experiences of employing refugees with businesses that are looking for workers.
