AMRC facilitates regular forums with leaders and key representatives of new and establishing communities. These forums focus on information, consultation and engagement with mainstream civic, economic and social institutions and groups. They provide community members with an avenue to express any issues or concerns regarding the settlement and participation of their communities and assist community leaders to develop strategies to address their needs. Governance and service development training is also provided to management committees of new and emerging communities.

AMRC is an ex-officio member on the management committees of the African Communities Council of South Australia (ACCSA) and the Middle Eastern Communities Council of South Australia (MECCSA). Through this membership it provides technical, governance and management advice to over 30 African and Middle Eastern organisations who are members of these two councils.
