Strength for life program
The Strength for Life Program is delivered by AMRC in partnership with COTA SA. The Program combines physical and social activities to support seniors in developing their fitness and overall wellbeing. Activities include strength training sessions, to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls, and social activities, to raise self-esteem, self-confidence, and enhance mental wellbeing. These types of activities have been shown to alleviate the effects of chronic conditions such as arthritis, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and heart disease.
