Stories of Achieving New Australians

Ms Lawuo Mama Pewee and Miss Rannie

Ms Lawuo Mama Pewee and her daughter Miss Rannie arrived in Australia in 2014 from Liberia. Ms Pewee has actively volunteered at the Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC), assisting new arrival families with their settlement and participation in the South Australian community.

Ms Pewee and her daughter have commenced a cleaning job at the new Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). “I am always ready to give back to the community and very proud that I am now able to do so. We feel very positive about our future and look forward to fulfilling our dream of buying a house,” she said.
