Finding employment is a key way for new migrants and refugees to achieve self-sufficiency and make an important contribution to Australian society. Through networks with the corporate sector, the AMRC supports clients to source employment through a job connection database. The AMRC partners with business to access and develop employment and work experience opportunities for our clients. We have partnerships with Spotless (Friendly Nations Project), Thomas Foods International and JBS Meatworks for employment; the Construction Industry Training Centre for White Card Training; local governments for youth work experience and community services training. Other industry partnerships include hospitality, hair and beauty, jewellery manufacturing, auto mechanics, public transport, aged care and child care, cleaning and maintenance, translating and interpreting services, horticulture and agriculture, the arts, sport and recreation.
